Using apps and websites to study
Many students turn to apps and websites to learn English on their own. Below are my recommended apps/websites that I think are very helpful and wonderful resources for practicing on your own.
Now, the app that most people are familiar with is DuoLingo:
Here, you choose how often you want to practice.
Here, you have the option to take a placement test or to start from the very beginning.
Some questions give the word and the picture for you to choose your answer.
In others, you translate the sentence.
You get to see your daily streak (how many days in a row you've studied the time period of practice you've chosen).
A second app, that was highly recommended to me by a student, Denis (who speaks Russian), is Memrise:
Here, you learn the word from listening and reading.
Here you choose from watching and listening.
It keeps track of every word you learn so you can continue to review later.
My favorite website for English practice is: http://www.perfect-english-grammar.com/
Here are some screenshots. For free you can review grammar explanations for absolutely everything. This also includes tons of exercises! If you sign up for her PEG Plus program for 10$ you can take different courses and get access to even more practice and explanations.

Happy learning and I hope these resources help you!
